Uglies Series

Hi everyone! I just finished Pretties and am 20 pages into Specials . :) To clarify, I am currently reading the Uglies series by Scott Westerfeld which has four books: 1. Uglies 2. Pretties 3. Specials 4. Extras I finished Uglies , just finished Pretties , and am 20 pages into Specials , which is 372 pages! I should finish it fairly soon; I will possibly read up to page 200 today and finish the rest tomorrow. I'll see what happens. I am totally enjoying these books! Thank you guys for reading my blog!!! ~Amanda

Home...Again!

Hi, everyone!! I just got home from Minnesota tonight! :) I'm heading to bed in a few, but I wanted to give you guys an update! So, before I left for the week I finished BoneMan's Daughters by Ted Dekker, and read all of Uglies by Scott Westerfeld on the flight to Minnesota. On the flight home today, I read 98% of Pretties , the sequel to Uglies . :) I am 50 pages away from finishing Pretties . I could have finished it on the flight home, but my brain was tired, so I took a break. This past week has been exhausting! No time to read at all! So, tomorrow (after I clean up and un-pack), I will make vlogs for Fragments , BoneMan's Daughters , Uglies , and Pretties !!! Sweet dreams my bookishly awesome buddies! :) ~Amanda

I'm Alive!!!

Hey guys!!! Okay, so, here's my situation: I was gone this weekend at my Dad's and I will be leaving for vacation this whole week tomorrow morning. So, no blogging or vlogging or anything! :( Sorry... Tyler will be here, however, and he said he would try to post if he thought of anything interesting. So he will possibly fill my absence :) Let me leave you bookishly amazing bookies with this bookish update! I finished Fragments on Saturday, all 564 pages. ...Wow. It was amazing, just like Partials , except I felt that the ending was not as powerful. It was still good, yet not as powerful. I anticipate the next book, but I still think Mark of Athena had a better cliffhanger! (Sorry, I just really love Percy Jackson...) I am currently 80 pages away from finishing the 401 page book Boneman's Daughters by Ted Dekker. It's a book about a serial killer who abducts girls and kills them by breaking their bones...um, yeah. It's definitely scary. An

Fragments Blurb

Hi everyone! So, here's a super quick post: I am currently (and FINALLY) reading Fragments (the second book in the Partials series), and I am 301 pages in...which means I have 263 pages left. I read those 301 pages in one major burst, so I'm done for today~ My brain needs time to rest and absorb the story! So far, it's AMAZING. Just like Partials . I'm so scared/excited for the ending...I have a feeling it's going to be VERY shocking. And how do I know this? Because Tyler and I LOVE Percy Jackson and if you read The Mark of Athena ...you know what cliffhangers are like. Tyler said the cliffhanger ending of Fragments matches/surpasses the cliffhanger of The Mark of Athena . That. Is terrifying. Beyond imagination. ~Amanda

Questions?

Hi, my bookish buddies! I wanted to briefly compose this post to let you guys know: If you ever have any questions about ANYTHING (books, me, Tyler, etc.) you can totally ask them by commenting on this blog, shooting me a tweet on Twitter, or by commenting on my YouTube channel or videos!!! :) I'd be more than happy to answer any questions (as long as they are appropriate), and to get to know you a little better! Thanks so much for following this blog~ ~Amanda

Seaweed Brain

Hi everyone!! As you may have already seen, my boyfriend has obtained my password and now has access to this blog! :) He can write posts and do as he wishes as a co-author/partner on this blog! YAY! Also, you may have already noticed a couple of things about Tyler: 1. He's hilarious. 2. Yes, I call him Seaweed Brain. (We both love Percy Jackson. And yes, he calls me Wise Girl.) 3. His posts are probably going to be WAY more interesting than mine. 4. He reads a lot. A. lot. 5. He's amazingly awesome and he will entertain you all. Enjoy him! :) As he mentioned: He's really, really, REALLY camera-shy. To an extreme. So that's why he'll appear on vlogs with me! :) I hope you all will enjoy this blog/vlog and will discover new books and authors to read and follow! You're all amazing. :) ~Amanda P.S. Another thing about Tyler is that he's super smart. He found a font setting to type in, so his posts won't be in girly handwriting style.

Books, symphonic rock and a curious addiction to water

WA-PWSH. Hi all you booktastic humanoids! If you didn't already guess, I'm not Amanda. I'm the guy that was randomly there on one of the Book Blogs! Yep, right here in (not really) person. Let's lay a few things down as basics, though: 1: I love books. 2: I will post about books. 3: I will also include in those posts various mishaps of my life. 4: Don't expect any videos with only me in them. While I have no problem appearing in future ones, it'd just be more of a hassle on my end to make videos alone. Mainly because cameras kinda bug me and college aint got time fo' dat. NOW, with that out of the way... I think I'll drop a huge list of books I've read, in no particular order, so you guys get a grasp of what I enjoy. Books enclosed in [brackets] are by the same author. [The Lightning Thief The Sea of Monsters The Titan's Curse The Battle of the Labyrinth The Last Olympian The Lost Hero The Son of Neptune The Mark of Athena The

Tomorrow

Tomorrow shall consist of me waking up early, running, showering, getting ready, eating breakfast... And reading. Reading Fragments . The second book in the Partials series. And hopefully finishing it. Then at 4, I will see my amazing boyfriend again. And we shall go to the beach. And have a bonfire. And burn my AP US History work. It shall be glorious. That is all. ~Amanda

Finished

Yes, I finished Partials . Let me say: I was right to be scared about finishing it. You KNOW a book is good when you're scared to finish it. It was...EXCELLENT. The ending was superb. The book was original. Unpredictable. Amazing. I LOVED it. 5 out of 5 stars!!! ✩✩✩✩✩ I highly recommend this book!!! ~Amanda

Current Book Status

I am 68 pages away from finishing Partials ... And I'm scared to finish it. I left off on page 400. Page 400 revealed the most shocking part of the story. Ugh, I'm scared to go on :'( I will finish it tonight, though!!! (Or tomorrow morning.) I uploaded and posted my review on The Serpent's Shadow and 2 rant videos! :) In case you're wondering where my video for Son of Sobek is!!!!:   Unfortunately, there was some sort of malfunction with my computer and camera...I was transferring the videos from my camera to my computer and there was a malfunction...it caused part of my Son of Sobek video to be deleted...so I only have part of the video. I will re-film the rest of it and post it TOMORROW! Thank you for your patience :)   Well, that's all for now!   Love you guys!   ~Amanda

Okay, guys.... Tomorrow, I will definitely be reading The Serpent's Shadow and trying to kill it (get to the end)!!! I've been super busy, but I have nothing tomorrow (except church) and I will be going to the beach on Monday, and reading is all I pretty much do when I go to the beach! :) So, I will try to finish The Serpent's Shadow and The Son of Sobek by the end of Monday!! Thank you for your patience! ~Amanda

Adventures

Image
As a reader, you get the special privilege of being able to explore worlds and lands that come to life and reality within your heart and imagination. You fall in love with the characters; you cry, laugh, rejoice, fight, battle, survive, hurt, overcome, and journey with them. They all become your best friends. It's truly beautiful. I feel sad for those who do not love to read, and who look at books as obsolete, boring, and dust-gathering objects of pure nothing. Books are keys. They unlock escape routes from reality. They provide readers with the most amazing adventures that they could ever wish for. Books open up to envelop us in places that we never even dreamed of. Reading is an adventure that everyone should take.

Hey, Everyone!

Hi, guys! So, you're probably wondering where the heck I've been, and your answer is: BUSY. I have had VBS this entire week, and since I am in the skit, I have been practicing and memorizing lines for hours, which leaves me little time to relax and READ. On top of that, I have not been feeling my best lately due to an increased frequency in my panic attacks and stomach issues :'( So, I will be getting on with The Serpent's Shadow TODAY. I am currently 50 pages in. Thank you all for your patience :) ~Amanda

I will be uploading my Book Reviews for Fahrenheit 451 and The Throne of Fire as well as a blurb on Partials and a blurb on my brand-new books!! Keep checking back for those! Sorry!!!

Hey everyone!!! I am SO sorry that I have not posted in forever!!! Here's what happened: So last week, I made Book Reviews for Fahrenheit 451 and The Red Pyramid and was trying to upload them, but my Internet connection died and I could not and did not find time to upload them again. I have also not been able to post because I have been on vacation since Saturday, June 29th. I will be flying back home this Saturday, July 6th. I finished The Throne of Fire and The Sun Also Rises  and am very excited because when I return home, there will be three new books waiting for me in a package!!! I ordered a paperback copy of The Serpent's Shadow (which is the final book in The Kane Chronicles) because of The Son of Sobek (Percy Jackson and Kane Chronicles cross-over!!!) and I FINALLY have my own copies of The Son of Neptune and The Mark of Athena !!!!!!! I am SOOOO happy!!! And since  The Serpent's Shadow is not in my possession, I am currently reading Partials by
